Empowering Asian Students, Building Stronger Communities.
The West Coast Asian Student Union (WCASU) is dedicated to being a safe and inclusive space where we can express ourselves freely. We can learn more about our own identities, and build strong, supportive communities among each other.
🌏 Connect & Empower – Foster a welcoming and inclusive community where students feel safe to express themselves, and share experiences.
📚 Educate & inspire – Promote learning about culture, history, and identity.
🤝 Cultivate connections – Create meaningful relationships and networks across people.
About WCASU
The West Coast Asian Student Union was founded in 2025 at Athenian School in Danville California alongside other Asian Student Groups in the Bay area. We were inspired by the East Coast Asian Student Union, which, for years, has hosted conferences and fostered community on the East Coast.
In creating the WCASU we hope to inspire and empower others by teaching them about Asian Heritage and highlighting role models to look up to and learn from. Although we’re just starting we want to explore Asian and Pacific Islander culture through explorations with speakers, workshops, and other activities that aim to empower Asian and Pacific Islander minorities on the West Coast. We truly believe that everyone deserves a space to express their culture and hope that the WCASU can serve as a place to do so.
